Like all forms of broad spectrum intense light therapy, Lumecca can give patients brighter, rejuvenated skin that looks years younger. Its precision allows it to deliver excellent results on pigment spots, sun damage, rosacea, and even spider veins. After Lumecca, patients will notice even and clearer skin tone.
Lumecca can treat wide areas of skin. When light from Lumecca reaches the skin, it penetrates with a greater energy than other forms of IPL, allowing it to break up pigment, smooth out skin tone, and shrink blood cells in fewer treatments. Patient will see results from Lumecca in about one to two sessions, versus upwards of six sessions from other types of IPL.
Lumeccca treatments typically last about 10-40 minutes. The number of sessions will be determined during a consultation, based upon the condition of the skin and treatment goals. The treatment is often described as feeling like a rubber band snap on the skin. Lumecca has a built in cooling tip to ensure maximum comfort. Patients will notice redness and swelling after the treatment, but this will subside within about a day. Patients may notice the pigment breaking up on the skin, it’s what we often refer to as a “coffee ground” effect. This is a good sign and means the treatment is working.
At drs skincare, we use the most advanced, cutting-edge non-surgical anti-aging treatments available. For more information on Lumecca IPL, call us today.
