Revive the texture and natural radiance of your skin with Skinvive™. A member of the Juvéderm® family of injectable filler products, Skinvive™ is specially formulated to restore the dewy appearance and healthy smoothness of the cheeks among patients aged 21 and older.

Hydrate and refresh

Skinvive™ is characterized as the first and only Hyaluronic Acid-based microdroplet filler to be approved by Health Canada. Due to its unique design, Skinvive™ is applied to the underlying dermis layer of the skin as small “micro-droplets” of HA. So, natural facial shape and volume are retained.

At drs skincare in Hamilton, Ontario, our Board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Rahul Shukla, also supports natural and desirable results, safety, and comfort. Dr. Shukla, Dr Chuback, and our nurse injector apply Skinvive to the specific points of the face that could use Skinvive’s smoothing and hydrating power the most. Furthermore, such precise application of injectable treatments like Skinvive™ minimizes the risk of rare and severe side effects.

What to expect from a Skinvive™ “glow up”

If Skinvive™ is appropriate for you, treatment takes around 20 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the area treated. The tiny HA microdroplets are applied to the “mid-face.” Skinvive™ is formulated with lidocaine for added comfort. As a “moisture-loving” molecule naturally present in the skin, Skinvive™ hydrates from within. It is designed to keep your cheeks smooth, glowing, and moisturized. The effects of Skinvive™ can last up to nine months. Dr. Shukla will discuss maintenance treatment sessions to support the radiant results.

Low risk, high reward

The most common side effects associated with Skinvive™ were limited to site redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, and itching. These effects typically subside within seven days after treatment. Downtime is also minimal, especially compared to more aggressive resurfacing techniques and invasive surgical intervention for facial rejuvenation. To minimize unwanted side effects and complications, we ask that you avoid strenuous activities or exposure to UV light and heat and alcohol consumption for 24 hours post-treatment.
