ATTENTION!!

Dear valued patients,

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, we have restricted in-person visits to high-risk medical conditions or urgent dermatologic concerns striving to provide quality medical care while attempting to minimize virus spread.

If you have an upcoming appointment you will be contacted by a member of our team to arrange your appointment with Dr. Shukla by telephone to help manage and triage your concern, virtually via appointment through Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) or other virtual platform, or reschedule when things settle. If you have an emergency medical condition we will see you after appropriate screening has been done.

New patients can be seen virtually or triaged via phone as described by phone after being referred by another physician. If interested in a virtual aesthetic or skincare consultation please connect with us.

To arrange a virtual visit please call or email for details (905-524-1712 or info@drsskincare.ca).

In order to proceed with an OTN appointment and/or virtual appointment you will need the following:

1. Computer or tablet with a camera
2. Email address
3. Patience :) as there can be glitches.

We sincerely thank our patients who have been very receptive to our calls to make the best arrangements for them given the circumstances.

Stay safe!

Lumecca IPL

IPL targets years of sunlight exposure banishing brown pigment spots, redness and broken capillaries.

What is IPL?

Patients of drs skincare in Hamilton can enjoy quality results to brighten skin discolorations with IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments. Some know this procedure by an alternate term, “photofacial”. At drs skincare, we specifically utilize Lumecca by InMode because it provides effective results with fewer treatments.

What does IPL do?

This highly-advanced IPL is effective to correct dark and red spots and to even out nearly any skin tone by making simple adjustments to the treatment device. Lumecca works by improving specific skin conditions through a process called “photothermolysis.” Undesirable pigmentation such as brown spots, surface appearance of small blood vessels, uneven skin texture, and visible sun damage may be effectively treated with this system.

What to expect

This means that the four to six treatments that might be required to obtain satisfactory improvements with a standard IPL device may be completed in as few as two to four sessions with Lumecca. Patients benefit with fewer visits, less time to achieve a more youthful image, and cost-savings from the reduced number of appointments.

To find out how IPL can work for you, call us to schedule a consultation. Together, Dr. Shukla and our aesthetician will evaluate your skin’s condition and present you with a plan for the most effective treatment plan. Selecting a knowledgeable provider is vital to achieve the best results. Comfortable procedures will be administered by our experienced staff aesthetician for service you can trust.
